Jiah found himself immersed in the world of electronic music at the ripe age of 13, where the sounds of Erick Morillo graced his untamed ears and sparked a distinct interest in the sounds of House music for the first time. After exploring a range of sounds from Drum and Bass to Disco and a stint in Electro, Galtier finally nestled into a unique combination of Bass Music, UK Garage and Dub Techno, with distinctively dark undertones which truly set the mood within his productions. With a debut single release “Ring Twice / Shaped” on Car Crash Set, which earnt airtime on BBC Radio 1, Australia’s Triple R, and receiving a strong review on Resident Advisor, Galtier returns with his second EP release “Shudder”, a four track bass rich collec- tion of tracks that utilizes complex syncopated rhythms alongside driving UKG/Techno percussion. “All People” sets the powerful tone within the EP, with booming Sub Bass, warped mid-tones and erratic rim clicks, followed up by “Lock” with its twisted vocals and hollow synth work. “True Type” breaks up the consistency of the previous tracks with a distinctive range of rhythm switch-ups throughout the track alongside rich chord stabs, and is complemented with the Bass/Techno stormer “333”, a crunchy bouncing rhythmic piece of work with synthetic zaps and eerie piano stabs.
Sudanim! Delivering great music since some time... I don't know, I'm a long time fan of his work. Still waiting for AM Motion album (or Amotion). Sabri Erkan Sabancı
A selection of unique experimental club bangers, if I can say so? The grimy sound of Her Records and all its artists, pushing the boundaries for some more pleasure to our ears. Flex Blur
