South London Techno producer Kieran Whitefield aka Ansome started producing music at the age of 17. After experimenting with House and early Dubstep, he found his real calling in Techno which is now a main part of his musical landscape. His raw and urban productions feature heavyweight drums, piercing synths and homemade field recordings united in a confident concert of dark UK Techno which allowed him to have a pow- erful impact on the music scene in a very short time span. On top of being an extremely talented producer, Ansome also has a fully analog live show in the works and runs his own label “Discos Dead”. For his debut EP on Files Rec - Smeatons EP - Ansome delivers 3 dirty Techno bangers rich of metallic percussions. Eponymous track “Smeatons” gets off to a roaring start and sets the mood of this EP using syncopated percussions and a beautiful heady synth line. “Slug Ferrari” is a slower yet powerful bit axed around twisted vocals and hollow warehouse-driven percussions. Finally “#3” gives a last poundy touch to this EP with clicky mechanical rhythmic patterns and a booming bassline.
