Hoel and Simon first met when they began writing music, a music that follows the yarn of their experiences and their various influences, jazz, techno, pop, experimental music, etc... After a few years making music, and following up their “Trésor” EP on DWNTWN RCRD, Dusty Corners re-emerges with another four-track EP : “DITW”, marking it their first release of 2013. Having only broken onto the scene in late 2010 with their debut EP, “Dark Side Of The Dub”, the profile of the dynamic duo Hoel and Simon has continued to evolve considerably through a series of strong tracks and remixes for artists including Taneli. Their distinctive brand of Garage/Techno/Bass has been championed by everyone from AppleBottom to Rinse FM to Mosca. On Files, the pair demonstrate again why they have garnered such great support. While the track “DITW”, an eclectic monster, transitions perfectly from the sound of “Tight”, “Late” merges IDM and Minimal Techno, before the the huge track “Stiff” closes the EP with yet another facet of the broad musical spectrum of the duo.
